Donating shares to support Langland Conservation’s work is a simple, tax-effective way to help counter wildlife trafficking.
In many cases, you will not have to pay capital gains tax on the shares you donate and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, you can claim income tax relief on most listed stocks and securities.
To qualify for tax relief, the shares or securities must be:
listed or dealt on a recognised UK or foreign stock exchange
units in authorised unit trusts
shares in a UK open-ended investment company
holdings in certain foreign collective investment schemes
